Goochland County voters can cast their ballots for the August 4, 2026, Primary Election beginning Thursday, June 18, through in-person absentee early voting at the Goochland County Registrar's Office, located at 1876 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland, VA 23063. 

In-person absentee early voting is available during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and will continue through Friday, July 31, 2026. 

Additional early voting hours will be offered on the following dates: 

• Sunday, July 19 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Saturday, July 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Sunday, July 26 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Saturday, August 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Dedicated parking for voters age 65 and older and voters with disabilities is available directly in front of the Registrar's Office. This parking area can be accessed from the Sandy Hook Road (Route 522) entrance located behind the County Administration Building. 

Please note that the Registrar's Office and all County offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, and Friday, July 3. In-person absentee voting will not be available on those dates. 

Absentee Voting Information 

Voters who wish to vote by mail may request an absentee ballot by visiting www.goochlandva.us/vote or https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation. 

The deadline for a voter to request that an absentee ballot be sent to them is Friday, July 24, 2026. 

Completed absentee ballot applications may be submitted: 

• In person at the Office of the General Registrar, 1876 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland, VA 23063

• By mail to PO Box 1013, Goochland, VA 23063

• By fax to 804-556-6323

• By email to vote@goochlandva.us

Completed absentee ballots must be received by the Office of the General Registrar no later than Election Day, August 4, 2026, or if postmarked no later than Election Day, August 4, 2026, received by noon on Friday, August 7, 2026 

Ballots may be returned: 

• By mail to PO Box 1013, Goochland, VA 23063

• In person during regular business hours at the Office of the General Registrar.At designated polling place drop-off locations on Election Day

Voter Registration Deadline 

The deadline to register to vote or update an existing voter registration for the August 4, 2026, Primary Election is July 24, 2026. 

On Election Day, Tuesday, August 4, all Goochland County polling places will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
